Hector Chevigny was born in Missoula, Montana on June 28, 1904. He died in New York City, on April 20, 1965. He received his B.A. from Gonzaga University in 1927 and did postgraduate work at the University of Washington in 1928. He married Claire Graves, from Spokane, in 1929.
